Number of Years Hunting: 20 years of being in the blind Hunting:
Ever since I was able to walk I have been in the blind with my dad, weather it was waterfowl, deer or turkeys. I was fortunate to have been introduced at such an early age and I grew to love it as a way of life. I killed my first duck a big ole greenhead when i was 8 years old and I knew right then that waterfowl was gonna be my passion for the rest of my life. As i grew I became more and more involved with waterfowl hunting, convervation and calling contests. As the years went by i developed into a well rounded waterfowl hunter, weather it was huntin the backwaters of the mississippi, the cornfields of the surrounding farm land, guiding locals or just gettin out and talking to the local folks about tips and trades of the hunt. It was always a dream of mine to eventually be able to become part of a pro-staff in the waterfowl industry. I had met Buck when i was 14 yrs old and I remember actually having a calling duo right at his booth in Oshkosh Wisconsin and to be able to part of his staff is an honor. I was accepted on his staff during my first tour to Iraq in 07 and since then it has been a great time. I have been in the Army for almost 6 and have done 2 tours to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division and currently still reside in Fayetteville NC. I take advantage of as much hunting as i can do on the Atlantic Flyway and I go home to Wisconsin to hunt as often as i can to get the feel for the backwaters that I grew up on.

Hunting: Born and raised in Southwestern PA I was attracted to the outdoors at an early age. I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking and hunting, any excuse to enjoy God’s creation. I began hunting doves, squirrels and rabbits, and still do enjoy those seasons, but my real passion is to hunt duck, geese, turkeys, predators and deer, any game that can be fooled by or attracted to the call.
Offseason: In the offseason I keep busy attending outdoor shows, helping others improve their calling skills, leading mission trips to impoverished countries and spending time with my family.

Growing up on the North Shore of PEI, I was fortunate to have what I consider some of the best goose hunting fields in the province at one time located on our family farm. Through the guidance of many mentors I developed a love of waterfowling to add to my other loves of farming and fishing. In particular I have Jim Duggan and all the Wild Goose Lodge guides to thank for this. I also have Glen Gillispee of East Coast Calls to thank for
teaching me how to blow a call getting me involved into contest calling, which I’ve had great success with. Other noteworthy accomplishments in my live have been being selected for the Duck Unlimited Canada Great Greenwing Adventure, a nationwide conservation camp held annually at Oak Hammock Marsh for 10 deserving campers, as well I was selected as one of two from the GGA to attend the Arkansas Conservation Camp in Stuttgart Arkansas as a Canadian exchangee. Currently I’m working towards my undergraduate degree (on scholarship) at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College with a major in Bio-Environmental Systems Management and a minor in Ag-Business. As well I‘m also involved in Lumberjack Sports and compete in the Canadian Intercollegiate Lumberjack Association for the NSAC team. I have been truly blessed with the opportunities I’ve and hope to pass on the pride in my hunting heritage to the next generation of hunters.

My name is Chris Durr and I was born and raised in Kansas City. My dad started me out pheasant and quail hunting at the ripe age of 7 and I got the opportunity to go on my first duck hunt at age 10. After my first duck hunt I was hooked. It was something I had to do every weekend. I grew up hunting in the famous Squaw Creek area in Mound City, Missouri. I still hunt in the Squaw Creek area along with public refuges all over Kansas and Missouri.
I attended Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg Kansas where I got a degree in Construction Management and Business. I played Football for a year but decided to give it up. During my college career I would usually schedule all of my classes to where I could hunt at least once a day. I started to understand what it takes to be a successful waterfowler. I had access to two public refuges that were hunted hard but after learning how to scout and the right time to hunt success came. I also understood the comminatory of duck hunting among good friends. It is something that became engrained in my heart and soul. Hunting ducks became something more than just pulling the trigger; it became a time to be in God’s country with my best friends and to just have a great time. Along with waterfowl hunting, I love to chase deer and turkey with a bow. I usually start my hunting season out in September high in a tree with my bow and end my season in January standing in flooded timber. It does not get much better.
Whether it is during the season or in the off-season, I am always thinking about hunting or something to do with hunting. During the summer months I stay busy working waterfowl shows all over Kansas and Missouri for Buck Gardner Calls and Tanglefree Decoy Company. In my spare time I love to shoot trap and 3D with my bow. I also love to spend time with my wonderful wife Staci and son Drake. I am looking forward to the day I can take my son on his first hunt and share the great things my father has taught me. My son is now 3 and already asking me for a bow and BB gun. I currently work as a Project Manager for Butler Manufacturing and reside in Lenexa Kansas.

Marital status: Married with 2 children (both boys)
Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, and anything related to outdoor activities
Number of Years Hunting: 22 and counting I have been hunting since I was 12.
I hunted mostly Whitetails in the woods of Pennsylvania. My dad took me for ducks and geese, but was mostly jut pass shooting. In 2004 I turned all of my attention to waterfowl hunting and learning their habits and tricks. Since that time I have hunted from the eastern shore of Virginia up to New Jersey marshes. I have traveled as far west as North Dakota to hunt the waterfowl mecca. I consider myself more of a goose hunter than anything else. But on the sad occasion that geese are closed, I can be found sitting the banks of my favorite duck spots waiting for sound of whistling wings. I enjoy taking my co-workers and young hunters out to watch them change their mind about goose and duck hunting. There is no greater joy then watching young hunters harvest their first bird. Just one hunt should be all it takes to get another person addicted to the sport. Any one waterfowl hunter knows exactly what I am talking about…Take a Kid hunting with you…they are the future of the sport!
